Christmas Story Telling

  • St. Brendan the Navigator Episcopal Church PO Box 305, 627 North Deer Isle Road Deer Isle, ME 04627 United States (map)

We hope you will join us for an entertaining storytelling event on December 13 from 4:30-6 p.m. via Zoom.

The story, “The Legend of the Christmas Rose,” as told by Jane LaChance centers on the miraculous transformation of a winter forest every Christmas Eve. The Robber Family who have been banished to the forest by the bishop witness this miracle. The village abbot learns about it and longs to see the stuff of his childhood memories. He begs the family to allow a visit. An arrangement is made. But, the lay brother who accompanies the abbot believes the garden is a hoax. Yes, you wonder how it all works out!

Bring your eggnog, good cheer and gather up for storytelling. Following our featured story, we invite anyone to share a favorite Christmas memory, story or reflection.

Everyone is Welcome!
