The Old Testament Meets Depth Psychology: A New Way of Approaching the Jacob and Joseph Stories in Genesis.

Three Old Testament study/discussion groups focused on the Jacob saga and the Joseph story. Description:”we will be looking at historical context and the purpose of legend in ancient Israel. More importantly, we will be highlighting universal themes of growth and development and existential crises from perspectives in the depth psychology of Jung and psychoanalytic theory. How do these ancient stories mirror our own and how do they shed light on the faith journey? Participants are encouraged to share as deeply as they choose.”
